Dinas Dinlle Beach

Caernarfon, Gwynedd

A large expanse of beach with vast areas of sand from mid-tide level. The foreshore consists of natural pebble banks. The beach offers exceptional views towards the Llyn Peninsula (Penrhyn Llyn) and towards Llanddwyn Island (Ynys Llanddwyn) on Anglesey.

The beach is cleaned daily by the Council.


Dog bins are provided but dogs are banned between the 1st May and the 30th September. There are dog bins at the beach for the rest of the year.

Take the A487 south from Caernarfon and then the A499 towards Pwllheli. Take the turning for Dinas Dinlle by Glynllifon Country Park and follow the narrow road for 1 mile.
