British Beaches

Sand, sea, sun, surf and scones

This website will be moving soon! We have a new domain name, and a new design. The current site will close later this year, but in the meantime you can check out the new version at

Llanddwyn Beach Beach

Llanfaer Pwll, Caernarfonshire and Merionethshire

A long ribbon of sand backed by forest and five kilometres of high dunes with spectacular views across to the mountains of the Lleyn Peninsula. There's a path leading from the beach to the nature reserve at Llanddwyn Island and the nearby forest has a fantastic network of footpaths.

Where available, the Bing map shows the "Birds Eye" view of the beach. Otherwise, it reverts to the standard aerial view.
