Woolacombe - Village Beach

Woolacombe, Devon

Woolacombe Village Beach is a two and a quarter mile stretch of golden sand backed by sandy hills and the Woolacombe Downs. The village of Woolacombe lies at the northern end of the beach, and is full of seaside shops, cafes, restaurants and B&B's. The Woolacombe Bay Hotel and Watersmeet Hotel probably offer the best accomodation in town, and the Red Barn pubs has the liveliest night life.

Access

From Barnstaple take the A361 Ilfracombe road and turn left at Mullacott Cross roundabout on to the B3343 for Woolacombe. Various paths. steps and slipways from the road and car park lead to the beach. Easy acces to the beach for disabled visitors.

Public Transport

Train station at Barnstaple and national coach services to Barnstaple and Ilfracombe. Regular bus services from Barnstaple and Ilfracombe.
